Nightlatch Locks

A nightlatch lock is a spring-based lock that is opened on the interior by turning a handle. You can also open it from the outside using a key. This type of lock automatically locks when you close the door, meaning you do not need a key to lock it with. Furthermore, you can get more complex and secure models of nightlatches. These require double locking from the interior of your property by moving the button (snib) up. This type of lock is usually used alongside a mortice lock, so it can be useful to have it as an additional security device.

I can fit Yale nightlatches, which usually have a 40mm or 60mm backset. I come fully equipped to your property in Tarleton with all the necessary tools to fit your nightlatch. These include a drill, drill bits, hacksaw, hammer, chisel, screwdriver, tape measure and insulation tape.
